Dr. Apaza Concha's priority is patient care. After more than 10 years of treating diabetes, obesity, metabolic bone disease (osteoporosis), and other endocrine disorders, she believes that a better physician-patient relationship results in better clinical outcomes.

She received her medical degree from the Universidad Nacional San Agustín, Facultad de Medicina, in Arequipa, Peru, then completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital. She finished her endocrinology fellowship at the University of Miami School of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, and was certified in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
